The Community Center of French Hill and Surroundings - A Home for Diverse Jerusalem Communities
The community center for French Hill and its environs serves 13,000 residents living in French Hill, Givat Hamivtar and Eastern Ramat Eshkol. The community center also serves the Hebrew University campus on Mount Scopus and collaborates with its student organizations and faculty.
Our goal is to build a resilient social network. We do that by helping people and organizations in the area connect with each other. We are interested in promoting pluralistic neighborhoods that are home to diverse populations such as adults and young people, religious and secular Jews and Arabs.
The Community Center staff works with senior citizens, young families and teenagers. We achieve our goal through community work in fields related to culture, sports and urban planning. In addition, we enlist the community in order to create preparedness in times of emergency and difficult security situations.
The Community Center has a public board of volunteer officials selected by the residents, which represents the different and diverse voices in the neighborhoods.
We are always interested in collaborations!
